Our Go Pro Family is growing!

The last few weeks have been really exciting for The GoPro Family.  Firstly, we announced our collaboration with Takata Experience.  They are the only PADI 5-star IDC Center in Mahahual and the only combined dive center and scientific research center of its kind in the Americas!  We are super excited to be joining forces to teach IDCs from their beautiful paradise, with our first one starting on 20^th May.

Mahahual is situated at the southern tip of the Mexican Caribbean, a 3 hours’ drive from Playa del Carmen, and has escaped a lot of the development going on in the Riviera Maya.  With unspoiled mangroves just a few meters from the beach, the waters offer amazing underwater biodiversity and impressive reefs.

As well as our usual two-week IDC program with unique workshops taught by two Platinum Course Directors, our upcoming IDCs with Takata will also have an eco-focus with input from their team of scientists and the opportunity to get involved with their projects.

The other exciting news relates to the first step in becoming a PADI Professional.  Choosing the right place for your PADI Divemaster course is not easy.  What we discovered in our years working in the dive industry is that there can be no “one size fits all” when it comes to the best kind of dive center to complete your Divemaster training.  Divers choose to take their Divemaster course for different reasons and are looking for different experiences.  The PADI Divemaster curriculum will be the same, but some dive centers offer their own “extras” that can add value to your training.

Fortunately we are able to offer our candidates four distinct options for completing their Divemaster course.  Four different locations – Mahahual, Cozumel, Tulum and Playa del Carmen.  Each option has their own unique benefits and opportunities.  We are confident that we can offer the right fit for everyone with these great choices.
